Solaglas Contracting was proud to reach the final of the prestigious Construction Industry Awards, held on 22nd September at the Grosvenor House Hotel by Contract Journal.

Solaglas Contracting fended off stiff competition from a host of major competitors and other trades to be shortlisted for the ‘Specialist Contractor of the Year’ Award. The Awards are designed to recognise outstanding business performance and, as Contract Journal received record entry levels this year, being shortlisted was a real achievement. To celebrate, ten employees from across the division were invited to represent the company at the ceremony, which raised £9,835.16 for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

British Gypsum and the Saint-Gobain group were also shortlisted; British Gypsum for the "Environmental Leadership" award and Saint-Gobain for "Construction Product Manufacturer of the Year". Saint-Gobain succeeded in winning their category and Peter King collected the trophy.
