Appointed by BAM Construction to supply and install the glass for the college’s main building, the project comprised Reynaers curtain walling to the main entrance and stairs plus Reynaers CW-50 HL and CW-50 SC ribbon windows to the classrooms.  Due to the college’s location under Glasgow Airport’s flight path, 10mm double glazed units were specified because of their acoustic properties and Trox vents were specified to ensure the classrooms were well ventilated.  Solaglas organised a mobile work platform for the six acre site, to overcome the difficulties in moving materials around the large campus.

Designed by architects Jenkins & Marr, the striking three-storey campus will cater for more than 10,000 students and incorporate modern engineering and construction workshops, state of the art science labs, advanced sporting facilities and a conference suite.  The College was officially opened by the Scottish Parliament’s Secretary for Education Fiona Hyslop.
