This two storey sales and marketing suite for the Pan Peninsula development was constructed on a floating 21 metre square pontoon, situated in the harbour next to the site. Solaglas supplied and installed the entire steel structure and glass façade, using the pontoon hull as a foundation. All the steel and double glazed panels were craned onto the pontoon and bolted into position.

Solaglas clad the vertical elevations and roof in SGG LITE-WALL, a frameless system that allows large hi-spec double glazed units. All joints were silicone sealed to give a flush finish to the facade. Solaglas also mounted automatic glass doors to the stainless steel outer frames for the entrance and exit. Two gangways take potential viewers to and from the harbour side onto the floating structure, secured to the dockside by weighted chains and mooring arms.

The double glazed panels used comprises 10mm toughened glass with an SGG PLANITHERM low emissivity coating to the outer leaf, and a 16.8mm laminated toughened glass to the inner. The roof panes have been further treated with a white enamelled frit to provide solar reflection and an easy clean surface.
