Stock Distribution
The network incorporates 15 regional distribution centres, located across mainland UK. These sites stock a wide variety of glass types from Saint-Gobain Glass and other major glass manufacturers. Options available include :
- SSS and LES (DLF) dimensions.
- Pack quantities and split-pack quantities.
- Simple processing on site (cut-to-size etc) giving short lead times.
- A wide range of glass types offering different functionalities.
In addition to the numerous glass types stocked locally, Solaglas has a national distribution centre which stocks the more specialised glass types, such as decorative glass from the Saint-Gobain Glass DESIGN range. These products are then supplied to the regional distribution centres in small, flexible quantities thus significantly broadening the product range available to Solaglas customers.
These sites distribute not only annealed and laminated stock sheets and glass cut-to-size, but also glass processed by the rest of the network :
- Sealed units
- Toughened glass
- Processed glass
This enables Solaglas to offer a very flexible and personal level of service to local geographical markets and to customers of all sizes.
