Consort Limited, a Veka trade fabricator based in Nottinghamshire, now offers commercially viable Window Energy Rated windows.

These affordable windows use the Veka Fully Sculptured 70mm profile and a high performance argon filled sealed unit from Solaglas: 4mm SGG DIAMANT, 20mm SGG SWISSPACER V warm edge spacer bar, 4mm SGG PLANITHERM TOTAL 1.1.

The unit combines excellent light transmission with the very neutral appearance of SGG PLANITHERM TOTAL 1.1 (and the unit is also without the unsightly haze effect associated with hard coat low-E glass). Swisspacer V gives insulating performance of the highest standard and its rigid glass fibre reinforced construction also ensures a clean sight line: there is no possibility of waviness on application unlike with some, flexible warm edge spacer bars.

As well as achieving a 1.1 centre pane U-Value, the Consort window offers excellent WERS performance (‘B’ rated; or ‘C’ rated if fully steel-reinforced) at a cost effective price. Both products can be installed in the standard manner and with large fixed or opening panes.
